KEVIN'S STORY

"Following my release in August 2022 I‘ve channelled my energy into ensuring young individuals avoid the pitfalls I encountered during my formative years.

Embarking on a transformative journey with the Prince's Trust Explore Enterprise course provided the foundation and courage to ignite my path as an entrepreneur. By enhancing my skillset through the completion of the Google Project Management Certificate, I’ve masterfully combined my street smarts with invaluable book knowledge."

"Khadys Dream has given me the opportunity to show young people the real-world consequences of crime early on, so they are fully aware of the potential outcomes of their actions. Our goal is to decrease youth crime by ensuring young people understand the serious repercussions of their choices."

- Kevin Koffi

THE CONSEQUENCES

"Growing up, I didn’t fully grasp the implications of my actions when I committed a crime. I knew breaking the law might result in going to prison, but that knowledge wasn’t enough to deter me. The allure of the crime overshadowed the simple thought that “breaking the law leads to prison.” I understood the potential gains from taking risks, but I didn’t fully comprehend the accompanying consequences, from the ripple effect it has on your loved ones to how you are at risk of poor mental health and suffering from impostor syndrome when you get out."

"It’s only after entering the criminal justice system that you truly understand the gravity of your actions, and by then, it’s already too late—you’re already a part of the system".
